Use PC Repair Tools to Fix and Prevent Errors

When a computer begins to experience errors, it is a good time to use some common PC repair tools to fix the problem. Alternatively, preventing these errors with a few PC repair tools is quite easy and is recommended for maintaining a high level of computer performance. These tools are nearly all found on the computer itself or are easily downloadable from trusted sites.

Tools Already on the Computer

If the computer is experiencing hard drive errors, the easiest way to go about repairing them is to use the Check Disk tool included with the computer. This tool can be found by:

• Going through My Computer and right-clicking on the disk to be checked
• Choose Properties and the Tools
• And finally the Check Disk tool should become visible in a dialogue box.
• Run this tool to diagnose, fix, and prevent hard drive errors before they cause major problems on the PC.

The Disk Defragmenter is another tool that comes with the PC. When data is saved and then deleted, windows of disk space open up in noncontiguous places around the disk. New data is saved in these spaces but may not quite fit, so it will be saved in multiple locations around the disk. Retrieving data saved in this way takes more time and puts more ware on the disk since it has to spin to multiple places.

• Find this also through My Computer
• Then Properties
• And in the Tools menu, click Defragment Now.

Useful Tools to Add to the PC

If the computer has seen a lot of programs come and go, it would be a good idea to make sure those programs are really gone. Some program manufacturer websites offer Removal Kits that will ensure that their program is fully removed from the PC. Doing this will fix some of the errors caused by leftover data from old programs that doesn't get removed simply by clicking on "uninstall."

Along these same lines, a registry cleaner might be a good pick for a computer that is displaying a lot of strange behavior or downright errors. The Windows registry is an area of the computer that pertains to user preferences, program settings, boot up files, and a lot of background information that the computer uses to do most tasks.

This is where remainders of programs lurk after the uninstall function has been performed. In addition, registry files can become corrupted and need to be repaired. Research adding a registry cleaner to the computer's supply of PC repair tools.

Optimize-Your-PC, with its advanced registry cleaning technology, it will boost PC Performance and clean your computer with PC repair tools, in under 2 Minutes.
